Summary of Requirements: The Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Health Agency (DHA), has a requirement for Defense Health Agency (DHA) Medical Q-Coded Services (MQS).

Background
The DHA supports the delivery of integrated, high-quality health services to beneficiaries of the Military Health System (MHS) and serves as program manager for acquisitions in support of the Military Services. The DHA and the Military Service Surgeons General operate Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) worldwide that make up the direct care delivery system. The MTFs include clinics (stand alone, non-bedded facilities), community hospitals, and medical centers that are staffed by military personnel, civilian employees and contract staff. The contract staff is comprised of numerous medically-related occupations. These include health care providers/workers in the following broad functional categories supporting inpatient and outpatient facilities:

  • Ancillary Services
  • Dental Services
  • Nursing Services
  • Physician Services

Requirements:
The contractor shall provide the following area(s) of support:

  • Provide contracted health care personnel in Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) within the Continental United States (CONUS).
  • Provide 8(a) medical services under Product Service Code (PSC) Q200-Q500 series for the Military Health System (MHS).

The contractor shall provide the following area(s) of support:

  • Help the Government to increase competition for the future TRICARE Overseas Program (TOP) Requirement

The TOP contract incorporates a wide range of administrative health care support services for TRICARE-eligible beneficiaries who reside outside the 50 United States and the District of Columbia. These health care support services include:

  • The development of purchased care provider networks, referral management activities, TRICARE eligibility verification and enrollment, medically necessary evacuations (medevacs), medical record translation services, medical management services, customer service/call center activities, beneficiary and provider education and marketing, and claims processing and coding.
