Sheila Knight
Staffing Manager
Sheila is Red Team’s Staffing Manager. She plays a critical role in connecting people with work they are personally excited about, while also finding them opportunities that allow for professional growth. Sheila has a passion for creating systems, processes, and materials to support people to be more effective and efficient at their job. Before Red Team, she worked at Abt Global as the Resource Planning Senior Manager for a 650 person, 200+ project based domestic delivery team. In this position, her focus was the development and implementation of a Labor Forecasting Tool and creating a structured division specific on-boarding process.
Earlier in her career, Sheila was involved with survey research at RTI International. She supported several exciting projects here, such as evaluating Migrant Education programs, creating an ATSDR funded registry for households with well water exposed to certain chemicals, a study for the Kinsey Institute on Female Sexual Satisfaction, and several studies looking at outcomes of substance abuse programs, including a SAMHSA sponsored project with a 2 year stint traveling to many methadone clinics across the country to determine the effects of accreditation of patient outcomes and costs. Sheila has been fortunate to travel across the country, and even to Uzbekistan, to work on a World Bank-sponsored Living Standards survey. After 15 years of supporting these projects, Sheila transitioned to leading the recruiting and staffing for a large social science division.
When not at work you can find Sheila exploring North Carolina with her husband and visiting their son at East Carolina University.
