Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Staffing Manager to join our growing team! The Staffing Manager is responsible for identifying, managing, and deploying consulting resources across Red Team Consulting’s strategic growth, capture, and proposal opportunities. This individual will ensure the right consultant is matched to each engagement based on skill level, client needs, project requirements, and cultural fit. The Staffing Manager will also participate in consultant recruitment and engagement and help to ensure optimal utilization and project budget adherence.

Responsibilities & Duties

Consultant Staffing & Resource Management

  • Lead staffing efforts for open strategic growth, capture, and proposal opportunities, ensuring alignment with client needs and expectations.
  • Identify, screen, and place highly qualified consultants based on their expertise, experience, and cultural fit with the client.
  • Maintain and manage a consultant database, tracking availability, skills, experience, and past performance.
  • Collaborate with General Managers and operations to ensure consultant performance and client satisfaction.
  • Proactively engage with consultants to ensure proper alignment between project requirements and the consultants’ availability.

Consultant Onboarding, Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Review resumes and conduct interviews of new consultant candidates to expand and maintain a high-caliber talent pool.
  • Work with General Managers to conduct regular check-ins with consultants to maintain strong relationships and address any concerns.
  • Work with General Managers to establish and maintain consultant collaboration activities to foster a cohesive and engaged network of professionals.
  • Communicate company pipeline opportunities and initiatives to core consultants, keeping them informed and engaged.

Project Oversight & Budget Adherence

  • Monitor and report project status, including consultant utilization, budget adherence, and hours worked.
  • Identify issues and work with the General Managers and operations to resolve issues where consultants may be underutilized or exceeding budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with General Managers, the Vice President of Consulting Services, and the Senior Director of Contracts and Operations to ensure projects remain within scope and budget.
  • Prioritize live or high-priority staffing needs to support critical client engagements effectively.

Collaboration & Operational Excellence

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align staffing strategies with overall company growth initiatives.
  • Work with General Managers to ensure consultants are meeting project expectations and delivering high-quality services to Red Team Consulting’s clients.
  • Develop and refine processes to improve efficiency in staffing, tracking, and engagement management.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in staffing, talent acquisition, resource management, or consulting operations, preferably within federal contracting or professional services.
  • Strong understanding of federal capture, proposal development, and strategic growth functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess consultant capabilities, match talent to project needs, and ensure successful engagements.
  • Experience tracking project budgets, hours, and utilization to optimize resource deployment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, prioritize urgent tasks, and adapt to fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with consultant tracking systems or CRM platforms is a plus.
Location

While our day-to-day work is fully remote, Red Team may require travel to the D.C. Metro area to attend company meetings and events.
