Red Team Consulting Shines at VETS24 Conference in Orlando
ORLANDO, Fl., May 24, 2024 – Red Team Consulting (Red Team) attended the VETS24 conference held at the Rosen Centre in Orlando, Florida, from May 20-23. The event, hosted by the National Veteran Small Business Coalition (NVSBC), saw over 1700 attendees, including Federal Procurement Decision Makers, Large Prime Contractors, and Procurement-Ready Small Business Leaders. The three-day event was packed with networking, training, and teaming opportunities, making it a resounding success.
Red Team Consulting actively participated in various ways. Representatives Debi McGhee, Tris Carpenter, Jeff Shen, and Meghan Ohmer were present to engage with attendees and share their expertise.

- May 20: Tris Carpenter presented on growth and business development best practices for Veteran-Owned businesses in Government Contracting (GovCon).
- May 21: Jeff Shen moderated the Business Leaders Forum, an inspiring panel discussion that set the tone for the conference. Esteemed panelists included:

- Barb Carson, Managing Director, Institute for Veterans and Military Families
- Erica Dobbs, President/CEO, Dobbs Defense Solutions

- May 22: Jeff Shen led a session on how to build and qualify a $500M pipeline in just 50 minutes.
- May 23: Debi McGhee taught a MasterClass on empowering small businesses with winning capture strategies.
“It was an honor to lead a growth workshop with transitioning Service members and Veteran owned firms at VETS24, in advance of Memorial Day,” said Mr. Carpenter, General Manager of Strategic Growth at Red Team. “The passion and commitment to continually serving our country was pervasive across all the sessions/events last week.”
Throughout the conference, Mrs. Ohmer, Director of Growth at Red Team, managed the Red Team booth, showcasing the company’s service offerings and engaging with attendees.
The VETS24 conference provided an invaluable platform for Red Team Consulting to connect with industry leaders, share insights, and support the growth of Veteran-Owned businesses in the GovCon space.
