Joe Salgado Talks GWACs at the Washington Technology Power Breakfast
ASHBURN, Va., December 10, 2024 – On December 6, Joe Salgado, General Manager of IDIQs and GWACs at Red Team Consulting (Red Team), participated as a panelist at the Washington Technology and GovTribe Power Breakfast, Doing Business Through Leading GWACs.
The event, held in Reston, Va., brought together industry leaders to share their expertise on maximizing opportunities through Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) and Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts. Joe Salgado joined Brian Seagrave, Chief Technology Officer Deep Water Point & Associates, and Amber Hart, Co-founder and co-owner The Pulse, in an engaging discussion that provided actionable advice for companies looking to succeed on these high-value contract vehicles.
In addition to this insightful panel discussion, several government speakers provided substantial updates on two upcoming contracts: NASA SEWP VI and Army Marketplace for the Acquisition of Professional Services (MAPS):
- SEWP VI Updates: Joanne Woytek, Program Director for NASA SEWP and keynote speaker at the event, shared that an additional amendment to SEWP VI may be released following the resolution of current industry questions. She encouraged attendees to continue submitting questions to further shape the program’s development.
- MAPS Updates: Katherine Thompson, Deputy Executive Director for U.S. Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), revealed that a second Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for MAPS is anticipated in December, providing further clarity for potential bidders.
