Red Team Welcomes Sheila Knight as Staffing Manager
ASHBURN, Va., April 2, 2025 – Red Team Consulting (Red Team) is excited to announce the addition of Sheila Knight to the team as a Staffing Manger. In this role, Sheila will be responsible for identifying, managing, and deploying consultants across all of Red Team’s strategic growth, capture, and proposal engagements. Sheila will help elevate the Red Team experience for our clients and consultants, ensuring that the right consultant is matched to the right client.

We asked Sheila a few questions to get to know her more. Here’s what she had to say.
Q&A with Sheila Knight
Q: How did your career path lead you to Red Team?
A: I started my career in government contracting as a project individual contributor, then progressed to Task Leader and Project Director. During this time, I also worked on proposals and captures to bring in new business. At some point I was working on a large study that required the hiring and staffing of new people, and I found I loved bringing on new talent and connecting them with great opportunities. When a full-time role to hire and assign work became available, I was asked if I wanted to become the Staffing Manager. I am so glad I made the switch. I believe having the staffing and resource management background across several gov-com firms will be an asset to Red Team.
Q: What excites you most about your role as Staffing Manager at Red Team?
I am excited to bring my on the ground and formal training in staffing for the gov con world to Red Team. I find great satisfaction in connecting people with work they are personally excited about and also finding them opportunities that allow for professional growth.
Q: What’s something interesting about you that people might not know?
A: When starting my professional career and I needed a second job, I worked as a bouncer/doorman at a small rock club.
Q: If you had to delete all but 3 apps on your smartphone, which ones would you keep?
A: 1. WhatsApp to keep connected with family, 2. New York Times Games for Wordle, and 3. Weather (obsessed with weather forecasts).
